ID 199 Final Project: Instructions & Rubric

Instructions
Your final project is a research paper on an aspect or trend of instructional design. It should be written using APA style, make sure you use the additional resources provided if you need assistance formatting and citing in the APA style. Make sure you include all of the following information and that you read through the rubric so you know how the project will be graded. Ask if you have any questions! The ultimate goal is to make sure your paper adequately covers the topic (not to focus on the word count), but if you need a guideline to help you determine if you’ve gone deep enough into the topic, the paper should be a minimum of 1500 words.

Depending on your topic, the information in the research paper may vary, but make sure you cover the following:
• Background (explain what your aspect/trend is, important vocabulary related to your topic, historical/contextual background, etc.)

• Value (articulate why your topic is important in instructional design and what impact it has on an instructional designer’s work)

• Legal/ethical considerations (describe the legal and ethical considerations related to your topic, including ADA, copyright, fair use, reusability, etc.)

• Bibliography (essentially the bibliography you completed for week 6 of this course, but make sure that you correct any errors and that anything you choose to cite in-text in the final project also appears on the bibliography)
